how to delete both os from dual boot

    how to delete both os from dual boot


    hii friends ,, i have installed windows 7 and xp in dual boot, but i want to delete both os without leaving any traces and install only one os that is windows 8. i got the tutorial for deleting any one os but how to delete both os and install a fresh windows eight . ? help me

    Its very easy, make backup of important files, then just install windows 8 - during install select custom, then delete windows xp and 7 partitions, plus delete windows 7 boot partition.

    when i select custom instaall then i have two partitions c and d where there are windows seven and xp respectively . so what to do with these drive? you mean to say bot should be formatted and chose any one for new installation i e windows eight / please make me clear friend

    thanks for the response but the tutorial was to fresh install of the windows eight but i have to empty both drives containing winddows seven and xp and then only i have to install windows eight so please help me i could make u undestand my problem/ thank you

    oh......now i got it and try now and ask nyou if any asistance needed but at last , it is all about running the comand to disk part which i have nil idea so couldnt understand how to clean hdd.
    what if i will formate the drive partition containing the XP os and keep another( WIN 7) which is logged in, safe and re install the windows eight in the another drive containing windows seven after custom installation and formating that drive containing seven.? is it right process? help
