Solved Problem on installation windows 8

Hi. I have a HP Pavilion DV6500 with Vista. Yesterday i bought windows pro, downloaded and wrote it on dvd. I begun the installation (upgrade), but at the 56%, it stopped and said that the installation failed. I tried it 2 times so far with the same results. I would appreciate some help.

How i ll do that? when i begin the setup exe i cant choose anything.

Use How to Do a Clean Install - Windows 8 (Using Install Medium and BIOS) as DaveHC says.[SUP]1 [/SUP]Follow with Clean Install with Windows 8 Upgrade if needed. Activation is covered in this tutorial, but activating is not likely to be a problem for you.

[SUP]1[/SUP]Using the steps in this tutorial results in partitioning and formatting as needed.

I did a clean a clean install and everything did ok. Thanks a lot!

Great. And you are very welcome. Note that I said some of the things other had already said. I guess I just did a little helpful elaboration though.
