I received an upgrade version of Windows 8 Pro from school, and get all the way through the installation process, but for some reason, during sections when it does the "windows must restart" it restarts, and never "comesback on" ie, the screen doesn't come back on, and it doesn't boot windows... I have to hold my power button to start it back up again.
When I got through all of that, and does the rest of the installation process, and it starts to boot under windows 8, it gets through most of the steps, and it gets to Getting Ready... when it gets to 25% the computer freezes, there is no hard drive activity, nothing happens. I have to restart my computer by holding the power button, again. It's stopped at 25% twice already.
Well at that time windows rolls back to Windows 7, and tells me that it couldn't install because of an error. Any suggestions? Has someone seen this problem in other threads?
