Try removing any optional devices, such as printers, scanners, USB Flash Disk, USB Mouse, USB Keyboard, etc.

I hear you, but do you get disk 0 to the point where it shows only unallocated space?

    Hi,

I just want to inform you it sounds like the media is either bad or the HDD is going out on you, possible whatever hardware is connected to it as well.

    Options you can try:

Burn the media at slowest speed to DVD-R and setup "Boot Sequence" in BIOS to load DVD ROM first. I would definitely load your BIOS to latest version as topgundcp suggested. That should be move 1. The second step is try the DVDR method mentioned. The OS that way will be read from a source you can verify is burned slowly with proper CRC.

This is a known problem with most DELL Laptop, Once you update the BIOS then everything else is clear.

I know this isn't actually a graphics card issue, but most people who have an n5110 and could only either disable the display adapter or hook up an external monitor thought it was a graphics card problem, so I have posted it here (this is the category I've been lurking in). Drivers and Downloads...
