Hi,

I have 2 HD's in my PC, yet i can only acces one. Never had this problem before when formating in W7.

When formating i delete all partions and create new ones. The thing is windows creates 3 extra partitions with my first one (recovery - about 300MB, system - about 100MB and MSR - Microsoft reserverd about 128MB) and 1 extra partition with my second one (also MSR - about 128MB).

So i then have 4 partitions made by MS and 2 partitions i made myself (partition 0 and 1).

The next thing i do is select partition 0 and resume the setup.

When i check my HD's under "Computer" (dutch version of Windows). Only one HD shows up.

What did i do wrong?

Hello Proxissimo, and welcome to Eight Forums.

This is normal when you have installed Windows 8 with UEFI instead of "legacy BIOS".

If you want to create another partition to use after Windows 8 is installed, then you would want to create it from the "Primary" (Windows 8) partition.

Could you post a screenshot showing the full layout of your Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc) window first? We'll be happy to take a look at it to see what options you may have.

Hope this helps for now, :)
Shawn

Your partitioning is OK.

Thanks theog,

I figured as it worked when formating W7. But what do i have to do to be able to acces my second HD (Station 1 Partitie 2 on photo)?

I had the same setup with W7, i don't understand it doesn't work the same.

Now i only see C: how do i get it to show me D: with the amount of GB i partitioned?
