Deleting Windows 7 from dual boot

I have both 7 and 8 installed in a dual boot system and have now decided that I no longer need Windows 7.

I have read and re-read the tutorial on removing Windows 7 so I am very familiar with the method however, it does not work for me. In disk manager I select the partition to be deleted and right click on it as instructed in the tutorial. In the drop down menu the option to "delete volume" is greyed out and not available so I am stuck.

i could use some direction here please guys.

It would help if you could post a screen shot of your disk management. That way we can see what is going on.

Do you have the System Reserved Partition?

Can you post a screen shot of Disk management?

Mark the Windows 8 HD Drive ACTIVE
Partition - Mark as Active - Windows 7 Forums
    Than
Physically disconnect the Windows 7 HD.
Make the Windows 8 HD, disk0 & first HD boot in BIOS.Also connected to the first Sata port on the MOBO.

    Than do a repair:
