Just Wondering:
To keep my apps to upgrade from Vista to Windows 8, can I upgrade in place to a eval windows 7, and then upgrade to licensed Windows 8 Pro?

Officially, the qualifying OS is supposed to be activated, but I don't know whether the Win8 upgrade installer actually requires that. (It may. 8 has tightened things significantly as compared to Vista or Win7.)
