Ok long story short, built custom computer this summer ran Consumer Preview, wasn't connected to the internet ran up until yesterday with 0 bluescreens. Yesterday I installed the official Windows 8 Pro. All was good until I tried to fix a usb problem, I went into Device manager, Universal USBS, and PowerManagement and unchecked the one that let the computer turn the usbs off.

I then tried to put my old information (CAD Files ect) back on and the errors started pouring in.

First error was memory dump. So were the next three. I disconnected the external harddrive and it turned on for all of about two minutes then crashed again. Went into Bio's turned the USP settings back on restarted.

Turned on and was stable for ten minutes. Seen updates needed to be installed. The computer was stuck on installing the updates but a hard rest fixed this issue.

Now to the main problem. Even after installing updates unconnecting the external harddrive I still was getting login errors and errors that said "Tried writing non-writing data." So I decided to reinstall windows 8 Pro. Now it gets an error while getting devices ready. I've re-fromated/deleted the harddrive space and nothing is working.

Thanks to anyone whom can help.

*If needed I can post computer specs, but there shouldn't be a hardware issue since I ran Consumer Pre.

Seoncd Post: 20 minutes later

I unpluged all USB Devices and tried reinstalling and I recieved the same error. I then decided to try repairing upon seeing the problem was with a system registry error. Windows couldn't repair the problem. So I decided to reset the PC. Very bad idea. The computer is now telling me that the Instal Disc isn't valid.

Third: 40 Minutes later

Finally was able to instal Windows 8 Pro again, however three bluescreens interrupted this one which said "Critical Structure Erro .nfts" Does anyone know what this is?

Try Cleaning the HD Drive, using Step one in this tutorial:
SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation - Windows 7 Forums
Than type> convent gpt
& than Reboot PC to install.

As your Asus M5A97 EVO has uEFI/BIOS firmware, How to clean install with uEFI:

Make sure you boot from the uEFI DVD Drive.

Thanks Theog!!!! I haven't tried this yet but if I get another blue screen I'm doing this its not to hard really. What I've done in the mean time is "installed" windows 7 home premium, then did a clean install using the OEM disc, I did get two blue screens but now things seem to be fine after updates, but I'm waiting to make sure. I'll probably go ahead and do this anyways because I'm getting ready to design a website and it'd be a nightmare with all of these bluescreens.
