Hello, I'm new to the forum and blah blah blah who cares. I'm not a computer expert here, so I thought about coming here seeking for help. Anyways, into the topic, I wanted to ask a couple of things about installing Windows XP Home SP2 Upgrade (not full) on a partition (I'll get a cheap old Windows copy for the upgrade to work), with a pre-installed Windows 8 in the other partition.

1) Has anybody tried it? Does it work well? So far I have found no guides on how to do it, but many on how to install XP on Windows 7. Is it the same procedure?

2) I have heard that installing an XP Upgrade will wipe/reformat an entire HD, both partitions as if they were not partitioned/united. Is that true?

Whoops, I think I'm kind of wording things a bit badly. My bad. The gaming computer I got weeks ago had just Windows 8, and Windows 8 was in a state of which I had to create an user for it, register it, apply regional and keyboard settings, etc; before normal use. Not sure if that is what people call "pre-installed", right? I then made a partition for XP days ago, but then I removed it hours ago. That screenshot is showing an unpartitioned HDD (1TB), taken a few minutes ago.

Do you have Windows 8 x32 install or x64?

Do you have another HD Drive?
