Install Windows 8 from a USB Flash

    Hi,

I have this problem in installing windows 8 from a USB I Google it and found something and I used windows 7 USB DVD tool to create a bootable flash drive now I I go to advanced BIOS features and on my first boot device I have "USB-CDROM"/"USB-FDD"/"USB-ZIP"/"USB-HDD"/ I don't know which one should I choose and how can I now that my motherboard support installing from a USB drive or not? (My Board: Gigabyte EP43-DS3)

    Solution:

1St: Legacy USB should be enable
2Nd: Put hard disk priority to the USB device that you are using
3Rd: Use USB-HDD and you are done

    Try HARD DISK.

Looks like install by DVD only.

I would make yourself a new USB Pendrive, or use the DVD.

what is the difference between this method and the method I used to create a bootable flash drive? cause it really looks like the Windows 7 DVD tool

is it possible that my motherboard don't support?

That is like saying, painting a lead bar a gold colour, is the same as bar of gold.
    This is the MS tool:
Create Bootable USB or DVD with Windows 8 ISO

guys thank you very much I found a way that will recognize my USB device but it won't load so I think the problem is from my motherboard.

UPDATE: it worked and now I am in the install panel so i think the USB device was a bit slow

The Solution is in the first post
