    Thrasferring upgrade to SSD

Once I have Win 8 activated on a hard drive is there any problem transferring an upgrade to a new SSD?

Why not just, install to the SSD & than activate.

No, no problems. I did this when I first installed the released Windows 8. Installed to a 80GB SATA drive then after testing for a while, did an image backup then restored it to my 128GB SSD, replacing Windows 7. Worked fine.

With Win7, the serial number of the drive was tied to activation. I discovered that when I "migrated" my Win7 install from an HDD to an SDD. But, all I had to do was click online activation -- and it was OK.

I suspect the same will be the case with your Win8 migration.
