Install of Windows 8

I have down loaded Windows 8 upgrade I am now running windows 7 my PC doesn't support secure boot , and I can't run a DVD, what does this mean? Also I don't have a touch screen. Can I still run window 8? Everything else is compatible with windows 8 . thank you
