SHEESH. How come 90 percent of the respondents in this thread either tell how to burn an img (NOT THE OP'S QUESTION)
    or
Insist on talking about 3rd party programs????

OP had a simple question. Once you get the "files are ready to be written" prompt, where's the FREAKING Write option?
    Really. An easy, clear question.

OP--on Win 8, the option is not where it used to be. In your COMPUTER window, right click the DVD/CD and there will be a "Burn to Disc" option.

Or, as 1 (ONE!!!!) respondent said, you can also eject the cd to get the prompt to burn it.

As this thread is in the How to install Windows 8, you would need a DVD or USB to install.
Therefore the posters are right in there posts.

I personally always use NERO to burn ISO's.

    Original Question:
How do I burn files over to my DVD Disc?
With windows 8 there's no "Burn" button when it says "Files ready to be written on the disc".
Windows 7 was so much simpler, what do I do now?

Got it. The thread's in the wrong place, so we make up answers for imaginary versions of the question.

Here's mine: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, then bake for 40 minutes.

I've never had any trouble burning an image - Just right click on the ISO file and click "Burn"

Or, you choose a folder and right click, choose "Send To" and select your Optical Drive. A little Wizard pops up, asking you if ya wanna burn it to disk, or a flash drive. Choose the disk. The files then copy over into the Burning folder.

After that, just right-click and hit BURN, the burning program pops up,

I have all that cack, like ImgBURN and UltraISO - But I haven't used em since I installed Windows 8
