    Safe Mode after Upgrading

Hi folks. Just got off the phone with Microsoft and disappointed with their lack of advice, came here.

Upgraded to W8 from Vista last night using the upgrade client. I restarted my computer this morning and after the Windows logo disappears, I just get a black screen with the mouse cursor. Searched for a solution all day and I think I need to fiddle with my drivers in Safe Mode, but don't know how I can get to Safe Mode without access to Windows.

Reminder that I don't have the Windows 8 installation disc.

Safe Mode in WDP in General Support
For those wondering about safe mode in WDP, there are 2 ways to get into it. 1) For safe mode on next boot (or till you turn it off manually), use the regular msconfig way. In msconfig, click boot tab, check "safe boot" and radio button "minimal". Hit OK. You can restart straight away or later,...
