Windows 8 Installation Failure

Hello,

I am trying to install Windows 8 Pro from a purchased installation disc. My computer was previously running windows 7 64-bit. I inserted the install disc, booted from CD.(I am trying to do a fresh install and wipe the HD. The HD is partitioned though. A system partition (100mb) an HP recovery partition (13GB) and the rest of it(917GB). I selected custom install and proceed with the installation. It is successful and the system reboots. However when it reboots it shows only a blue screen with "file signature could not be verified" for "Winload.exe" and it shows error code "0xc0000428" I have no idea how to fix this as I have no operating installed anymore and I can't boot into this one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

No need to reinstall old Windows install.

Try Cleaning the HD Drive, using Step one in this tutorial:

& than Reboot PC to install.

Thanks, I have it formatting now. Big drive so it will take awhile obviously. Do you recommend setting aside 100gb on a partition to install to as it says?

"Still in the same command window, to create a partition of the entire HDD / SSD, it is suggested if you are using one of the larger, 1 - 2TB HDDs that you use the outline in #2 below to create a single 100GB partition to do the installation to or #3 below if you would like to include the new Windows 7 System Reserved partition, as we're now seeing serious issues with some trying to install to such large partitions."

There is no partitioning in Step One, all partitioning can be done, in the Windows installer at Drive options.



The Windows 8 System Resevred is 350mb.
