How did you boot the Windows 8 DVD?

    Are you pressing any key?

Hi, don't have much to add besides that I get the exact same problem.

I want to emphasise it doesnt go into windows (7 or 8) so there is no command prompt. It's just a loop. there's the manufacturer screen (I have a medion) with the setup menu (f2) and the boot menu (f12), then it goes into a windows 8 loading screen and after a little while it says:

"The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot process. To install Windows, click OK to restart the computer and then restart the installation."

I hit 'OK', it restarts, same shit.

when I try to boot (from an external hard drive) it starts the installation but gets stuck at a certain point and after 20 minutes it just shuts down.

I'm thinking I should just throw everything off and start clean, but in this loop I have no idea how.

If you don't have a DVD-RW drive, the disk will not boot because the CD-RW drive will not be able to read the DVD.

Where did you get the disk? Did the disk come with your computer?

Which disk isn't working? The Win7 disk? A Win8 disk in your possession?

    HI,

thanks for the reply, the problem was very simple; my USB stick caused me to go into a reloop of startup. Very silly

Yes, sometimes you need to remove the DVD /USB Pendrive, at the first restart.
