Windows Shell Startup Issue

I have my Win 8 set to pass the start screen and go straight to the Windows shell desktop. The issue I have is the applications such as realtemp, my logitech keyboard, Nexus don't auto load even though it shows in startup on the task manager. I have the apps in the task bar, but each start up or reboot I have to manually click on each to start them on the desktop. Any idea how to make these autoload like they did before Win 8? Thanks

What method are you using for that?

The windows Shell settings. Set to bypass the metro screen. My computer boots directly to the desktop as in other Windows OS. The only issue is the programs don't auto start like the other OS. I have to click on each of them to start so I have them pinned to my task bar.
