Preinstalled windows 8 netbook SSD upgrade

Hi,
I bought a new netbook (aspire one 756-887Xkk) just a week ago with windows 8 x64 preinstalled. Now I want to upgrade my netbook with an SSD doing a clean install as I think there's way too much acer bloat on this device. How do I go about this? This netbook uses UEFI bios v2.01 and secure boot and has 4 partitions on disk 0. I tried just downloading an MSDN iso to USBdrive and install it regularly in hopes of windows activation picking up the OEM license hardcoded in my bios. I also tried cloning the disk with no luck. Oh, I have no problem upgrading to a full/Retail version, especially if that will grant me a CD-key then that I can use in the future.

THanks in advance for any help, it's much appreciated!
Geek out :/

Welcome to EightForums.

We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

You can Order Acer recovery disks from here:

Hi,
Thanks for answering! I already tried making a recovery USB drive, and I can still try to make another as I still have the netbook working with the Original disk, but it didn't work out the first time. Windows install failed on initial boot. Grts

1) USB Pendrive not format to FAT32.

Use option two in this tutorial:

2) Not booting uEFI drive.
To boot your DVD, use boot menu

GA BIOS-12.PNG

press enter on the UEFI DVD drive

Hi, thanks. So I formatted my USB drive as fat32 and installed the iso on it. But the bios (in UEFI & Secure boot mode) still says no bootable device. I tried the "select an uefi file to as trusted" and directed to the USB install drive in path microsoft-boot-cdboot.efi . But this doesn't do anything either. I also tried to install with the bios set to Legacy, but this nets me a BSOD IRQL_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS halfway the setup(at reboot). What am I doing wrong?
