It would help if I could find the download, but I can't. I guess I rushed to get it installed and didn't see the "save for later" options. I know it's still on the hard drive someplace.

Thanks!

There should be an ESD folder somewhere containing the ISO file. If you can't find it, you can always re-run the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant using the key you bought and download it again.

I'm not sure that the Upgrade Assistant will allow you to re-download.

However, there's a download link in the confirmation email you received for your order. You can re-download with that. (In fact, you can use it to download the upgrade from a different Windows PC than the one that you ran the Upgrade Assistant on.)

You might need to rt click it and run as administrator.

The ESD folder is hidden.

If you want to see it, got to control panel >folder options>View make sure both Hidden Files and Protected Operating System files are showing.

It is on the root of the Drive C:\ESD

"I'm not sure that the Upgrade Assistant will allow you to re-download."

It will, using the original product key.

If you did the in place upgrade, ESD folder should still be there.

That is what it uses for refresh and reset options. If you do the reset - it may remove it.

Thanks everybody for responding to my question about using the W8 download after installing it. Un-hiding the folders showed ESD in C:. Also, you can download it again and make a disk or USB version just as if you hadn't downloaded it before. I think Microsoft will permit unlimited downloads; you just can't activate it on a different computer unless you buy a new activation code.
