Media Pack Win 8 Pro Upgrade fails and reverts.

I had Win 7 and upgraded to Win 8 Pro, everything went OK. I obtained the license key to install Media Pack. Tried to install Media Pack it gets to 95% then fails and reverts back. I have restored my computer back to Windows 7 (from a back up), reinstalled Win 8, everything went OK. Tried to install Media Pack, gets to 95%again then fails and reverts back. I have tried everything listed on the various forms (to date), but nothing helps, MEDIA PACK INSTALL CONTINUES TO FAIL AT 95%, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM
Further update, media pack upgrade was failing as above and reverting. I went into search, settings, entered "turn windows features on or off", unchecked media centre. Went back to add features, the media pack downloaded OK i.e. 100%. This has removed the option to add features from Windows 8 Pro and therefore the license key box. I then went back into "turn windows features on or off". Ticked to add media centre, followed the prompts, the files etc would appear to be present, said applying changes, however once again it stopped at 97% and reverted back.

    Any help would be appreciated.

As per my original post, Media Pack install would fail at 97% and revert back. Having tried all the suggestions to date, nothing worked.
After having downloaded the files, I have always tried to install Media Pack via Turn on Window Features, under my own user account.
However for a change I tried to install Media Pack, under a different user account on my PC and it worked OK, Media Centre operates OK.
I don't know or understand why Media Pack installed OK under a different user account, as I had not changed anything else, trying a different user account was purely out of boredom.

If any Forum members can figure it out let me know !

Have a look and see if both accounts are administrator accounts. The first account you create is an administrator by default, but I think the second defaults to standard user. I say I think because the only PC I have two accounts on is the laptop I share with my wife. Her account ended up being a standard user account but I'm not 1oo% sure if Windows did it or I screwed up.
