I purchased a full up version of 8 pro, got a brand new 1Tb hard drive to load it on. Everything appeared to load properly, but now everything I try to do fails... updates, activation etc. when I download the update I get a "download failed" message. when I try to activate, it tells me "number is good" but it doesn't activate... when I try to enter the key again, I get "something like "this key code not good for upgrade".

The OS looks like it's all there, and appears to work, but how do I know? this is the first time I've seen the program. I'm going to wipe the drive and try to load again in case I missed something, but would appreciate any suggestions.

I tried!...
One would think for $1200.00 a new laptop would come with at least two disks... 1) the OS you paid for on DVD and 2) a DVD of the drivers loaded, but No you are forced to go to their website to down load the drivers (all 139???)... I tried to access the web, but without actvation, system won't let me get to internet, to download anything... everytime I power up I get the message "activate Windows" and it takes me to the enter key screen. I'm going to try re-loading one more time...
