Move Windows 8 to Another Drive

I got the Windows 8 Pro upgrade from the offer and used it to upgrade my Win7 installation on my RAID array. Now I would like to see how it runs on my 120GB SSD. Can I move the installation to the SSD or is there a way to reinstall it to the SSD?

You should be able to install to the ssd by booting the iso and pointing at the ssd.

I have no idea if it will activate a second copy on the same machine - I expect so.

You would need to be careful about where the boot critical files are before you try removing the first installation.

I am wondering about activation too. I guess I could give it a shot.

Getting an image of windows with a software such as macrium reflect and then restoring the image to the new drive may work. But I can't guarantee anything.
