My experience with Win 8 is uptill now very short....
At the start of the installation (DVD 64 bit via setup.exe in Win 7) an error pops up: ' installation can not continue, not enough disk space.
This is very strange because there is still 50G of disk space (SSD) available.
Win 7 is running fine on my system.
I prefer an upgrade install, not a clean installation.

I really have no clue how to solve this. Who can help me?

I've bought a Win 8 upgrade. I would like to install it....

This is my issue in 'graphical terms': ( sorry, in Dutch)

I think your "system reserved" partition is too small - quite a lot of faffing to get there but 200Mb should be enough.

Okay, thanks. How can I resize this? It seems not to be possible via Diskmanagement....

Quite a lot of faffing....!!
BACK IT ALL UP!!
Shrink C: by 200Mb
Move it up by 200Mb so there's zero free space after.
Increase the size of the system reserved so there's zero free space after it.
Try again to load Win 8.

I use Paragon Partition Manager - make the bootable usb stick - seems to work for me!
