So I followed the tutorial here for installing a clean version of Windows 8 on a new 20GB partition, but my problem is, when I try to install new programs - even when I choose to install them to a different drive/partition, I run out of space. The problem is because during the install process, files are copied into \ProgramData\ on my Windows 8 partition. Is there a way to change the drive location of \ProgramData\ ?

If not, I'll have to start over and do an upgrade - which I'm apprehensive about because current Windows 8 partition is the default partition that's booted. Not sure what will happen if I delete that partition.

Here it is... W: is my Windows 8 partition. I'd like to Windows 8 to create a ProgramData folder on the D: drive and use that, as there is plenty of space there. I tried a tutorial found on sevenforums that explains how to do it, unfortunately W:\ProgramData is being actively used so I don't have access to move some of those files. I've made changes to the profile in the Registry as well to point to D:\ProgramData but the program I'm trying to install doesn't seem to take notice.

FWIW, I started over with a 50GB partition. That way I don't have to worry (too much) about the size of the \ProgramData\ folder. You guys may want to update your tutorial because 20GB will rarely be big enough for a useful Windows 8 installation.
