Solved During set-up, which account is the better to make?

i've seen some screenshots about making a MS account or a local account, what's the benefit of a MS account? do you really need one?

pro's/con's anybody?

I believe a Microsoft account is required to use SkyDrive, the Store and to sync your settings.

Kebero is correct on SkyDrive and sync. Not sure about the Store, unless he means purchasing process of which I haven't performed yet. I've only installed free ones.

I've had a Live sign-in account since installation of 8. A Live account since Vista days. It's now all wrapped up in MS account. It's convenient in that it signs one in automatically in any MS services sites, even Bing using as my IE home page. I find it very convenient.

By utilizing a Live account, it can automatically sign you into things like Skydrive and Facebook and such that you have tied into your Microsoft Live account.

In addition, by utilizing a Live account, you can go into Settings from the Charms bar and can setup a variety of settings, bookmarks and other things which you can synchronize and share across multiple Windows 8 machines when they are all using this same Live account. SO, you change a background on one, and it can be changed on the other.
