Solved Disk Space

I know the required amount is 20GB of ram for x64, but after the install it's using 70.2 and my SSD is only 120GB.. leaving 40.8GB left.

This concerns me with updates in the future, and the fact all metro apps install on the root drive(too bad I could just have my ssd as my boot drive and one of my 4TB drives as root).

Fresh install, just received the install DVD from amazon about 8 hrs ago.

Here's my system specs if that matters.
64GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 2100MHZ
120GB SSD - Boot drive
1TB HDD
4TB HDD
Nvidia GeForce gtx 680 2GB reference model
Intel core i7 3980 quad-core sandy bridge-e
Creative sound card reacon3D

That's about it.

When I install windows it's always a fresh install, delete the old partitions, format the drives, windows 8 created a 350MB partition, and installed on my 120GB SSD. And going to my computer it shows 40.8GB FREE.

The ONLY things are installed are my Nvidia drivers (which win8 detected) and Mozilla Thunderbird (until Office 13 is officially released). You think Nvidia is hogging 50GB of disk space JUST for a driver?..

I highly doubt it.
Try playing with this command for an admin cmd.

forfiles /P D:\ /M *.* /S /C "cmd /c if @fsize gtr 209715200 echo @path @fsize @fdate @ftime"

Just adjust your size as required.

Looks like my issue was just with hiberfile and pagefile.sys, removing them brought my ssd to 100/111GB.

With 64GB of RAM, what did you expect?
