Win 8 install = Error 0xc00000e9

Downloaded from Windows.com. Installed and upon final reboot got this error. "The OS couldn't be loaded because the kernal is missing or contains errors." Suggests doing a repair??? by inserting the Disk. Don't have disk, it was a download. What to do next? Is the main file on the HD that I could burn to DVD or??

Redownload & make ISO/DVD.

You should have an upgrade file on your desktop, click on that, it asks some questions and one of them is do you want to install later say yes, then another question do you want to create an ISO file just say yes, when it has created the ISO file, right click on it to burn it to a DVD.
Then boot from that to completely wipe your disk and reformat, make sure you have your key for when you start the installation. If you have a Windows Live account use that. Make sure you feel comfortable doing this and have anything you need backed up, this worked for me, I hope it works for you.

OK TX. I did find the ESD folder and re-running the setup from there. Was able to get back to windows.com and I am in the process of D/L the .iso. Must have slipped by me originally to save the file. OK back now, power glitch, UPS did not do its job. Maybe its time to drink a Beer! :)

Im having the same problem, except im getting a boot loop with my main ssd and bsod on when i try to boot via usb :( any way to fix this without needing an odd?

UPS probably worked, but they only are supposed to give you about 10 minutes of power, while your system shuts down. Plus you were installing, meaning the UPS connection is not quite connected to the system. There is a driver that's installed that tells it what to do.

    Recently lost my Windows 8 on my main PC, had to go back to Windows 7.
Tx for the info, but that was a year ago. :) Previous failure was instant, now that I have replaced the battery in the UPS, it is not bothered by these small glitches. Win8.1 is running fine.
