Upgrade assistant confusion

Hello

For some reason the Upgrade Assistant will only let me choose "Keep Nothing" and doesn't come up with anything else. I presume this is because my Windows 7 installation is on an SSD and all my other stuff is on a normal hard drive.

What i want to know, will it delete the stuff on the hard drive if i go ahead with the upgrade?

It's probably not finding anything to keep, if there is nothing to keep on the SSD then go ahead and "Keep Nothing".
What did the compatibility report say?

Just be sure that there is nothing you want to keep on the SSD. You will have to re-install all programs even if you have them on the HDD.

Compatibilty report said that 29 of my apps and devices are compatible and 8 items for me review. The 8 items, some just need to download a version whats compatible with Windows 8 basically.

I rang Microsoft this morning and told them there would be confusion about this and to make it clearer to people by putting something on the website. I'm not sure if they took any notice. Keep nothing means what it says virtually. My opinion is to either make a new partition and install it on that or put it on a clean harddrive and keep your old system until such time you are comfortable with getting rid of the old files. Things can always go wrong just when you don't want them to.

I know what it means but wanted to know if it would delete the stuff on my seperate hard drive. I'm now on Windows 8 and i'm happy to report it didn't, only the stuff what was on the SSD where Windows 7 was installed which wasn't alot :)
