    Hello Ivan,

    A SSD is a Solid State Drive. It's basically a hard drive that uses memory chips instead of spinning platters like in a HDD. A SSD will be much faster than a HDD. The link below can give you more details about a SSD though.

    The simplest of all dual boot configurations is booting Windows 8 to a VHD, it's simple to create and simple to remove when you're done your testing. Don't have to mess with partitions or bcdedit and all that fun stuff. Perfect for the less technical and technical alike.
