Good morning. I've seen my share of adversity but this is un-real. I've been trying to install a clean version of
Win 8 CP onto my Dell Optiplex GX260 with a P4 2.4Ghz CPU and 768 Mbs of RAM . I've long since realized that the only way to success is by going thru the setup.exe in the Sources folder to bypass Error Checking. Even so, every time I reach the 27% mark of Getting Files ready ..... my Install crashes at the First Restart with that typical greyed out screen. I'm thinking that this is a Video Graphics glitch related to the Intel Extreme Graphics driver and inboard Intel 82845 processor. I've read that a few peeps have claimed that they were able to install 8 onto a Dell Optiplex GX260 and, I just don't see it happenin' . I'm an adequate Tech and I think ytou'll need an IT Tech at this point. I would think that this is a logistical impossibility. If there are any Admins or Moderators with Awareness on the issue, please reply so that I will have a fighting chance. Goodday.
