    Dynamic Disk

When I try to install Windows 8 on a separate partition, it says something like this:

Here is the partition (I also tried with an uncollated drive too):

Click image for larger version Click image for larger version

I really want to run windows 8 it without a VM.

It's complaining that the C drive (that's Drive 0, partition 2) is a dynamic volume, and it's on the same physical disk as your Win8 partition. Any disk that contains a dynamic partition can not be used to install a boot volume in Windows 8, so since the disk has dynamic partitions, you get this error. Boot volumes should really never be dynamic other than testing, and even that would be kind of silly.

I am not using Drive 0 Partition 2.

And also, the problem is that I cannot make it a Basic, or anything other than a dynamic/I don't know how.

No, you're not, but you are using Drive 0 (that's the physical disk that all of those partitions reside on). My previous statement thus stands - if you try to install to a drive that contains dynamic partitions (this is a disk-level decision, not a partition one - you made that disk dynamic, so all partitions on it are thus dynamic!), Windows 8 bails with this error message because it's no longer possible to install a bootloader onto this disk.

Conversion back to basic disks isn't easy, but it can be done. Note backing up your data isn't just a suggestion :

I would not go by the tutorial because you are liable to lose all your data and OS. Do this:

    1. Delete the partition that you last created - e.g. with Disk Management. Now you should have only 4 partitions.

    2. Download PW422 from here. Burn that to CD (e.g. with ImgBurn) and boot with that CD.

    3. Now reconvert the dynamics with PW.

    4. Convert the C partition from primary to logical. That can also be done with the PW CD - controls are in the Partition tab > Modify. You have to highlight the partitions you want to change.

    5. Now you can create an additional logical partition without running into the dynamics.

Shawn, maybe I missed that part in the tutorial. But usually, if you have dynamic disks, you have more than 4 partitions on the disk. Don't you have to first reduce the number of partitions to at least 4 in order for the reconversion to primaries to work?
