Locked out of Windows 8

Hi,

I recently purchased a manufacturer refurbished lenovo X220T from Germany. Whne I got it windows 7 was in German and I couldn't change language because it was win 7 professional. I installed ubuntu 12.04 so I could actually use the thing but when I discovered I could get windows 8 professional 64 en-gb free from college with the dreamspark program I opted for that.

So I downloaded the .ISO file and mounted it but it was corrupted. Then I got a bootable (same version) off my friend and it worked with my serial number.

Now my problem is it installed fine but I can't log on. I tried my Microsoft account it didn't work, I tried resetting the password for this account and it didn't work.

Then I realized that with the manufacturer refurbished German installation of Windows 7 that I got initially, there must have been an administrator and password with it which I don't know and am getting no response from the company that sold me the laptop (lapstore.de). When I try administrator as the username for a Local Domain log in with a blank password I get the message: "account disabled".

I'm now trying to do a fresh install of a bootable version of Windows 8 from a USB and it starts working but it can't find the drivers.....

I'm at my wits end here, any help would be appreciated,

Thanks,

Daniel.

Dude, firsr relax some :D
Just use windows 8 drivers, they will install automatically. If any particular driver is missing , head on to Lenovo site and you may or may not find windows 8 compatible driver yet, you can try 7 driver.
However in most cases, win 8 pre installed driver will do for now until the 26th.
