I'm running Windows 8 with an Asus 1155 MB and no additional cards.
Performance has been all I need with two monitors but now I have obtained an LCD TV.

Will Windows 8 show all three if I just plug the LCD into the HDMI port?

I can't find anything on the Asus site etc.

Theoretically, Windows should just recognize the TV as a monitor. I've never had issues with multiple monitor/TV support before and I bet it will work fine.

Plugging in the HDMI to the TV turns off the d-sub side and works fine with the DVI.

So far I have had to turn off the system and the TV to get the d-sub side back.

The lucidLogix Virtu solution supplied by ASUS will not recognize 8 as a valid operating system.

Right now it's a pain that I can live with but I may be forced to buy a single 24 inch monitor instead of using a 19 inch 4:3 and a 20 inch 16:9:dinesh:

Many video cards will not support two DVI outputs AND an HDMI. By using the HDMI you frequently lose one of the DVI outs. But that's dependant on the card...

In fact I am not aware of any cards that don't do that but there are plenty that do :(

Some cards can do 2 DVI + 1 display port. But usually with the HDMI, you lose a DVI port. Just the way it normally works is seems :/

Happy Camper here.
I just installed the latest Intel drivers and then looked at the Intel graphics icon in the tray.
(It may have been there all along.)

While I can only have two of three outputs live I can now pick any combination of the two and switch without the need to turn the computer off.
