Video (Card) Problem

I have been having an issue and I am trying to figure out exactly what the problem is.
My computer went into a strange loop where I would get the "light blue screen of temporary death" and it would say that I need to restart and would repeat endlessly. I powered off the system and the display said "out of range". Luckily I have a second port on my video card. I switched ports and it booted but there were glitchy blocks displayed and anything other than the tiled screen and the desktop were blank and unreadable. Windows stated that my driver failed to work. I put in the Windows 8 Disc and did a repair and everything worked fine... for about an hour. Then the blocks came back for a few minutes. Then I got the "temporary death" screen again and the system rebooted. Any ideas?

Im not a computer expert but it sounds like it could be a video card failing overheating a monitor going bad or maybe the power supply or even a virus. sorry I don't really know enough about computer insides to help. It also might be your drivers are corrupted.

Yea, sounds like overheating and/or dying video card. No spare to try?
