Hey guys, need your expert opinions on whether to buy a monitor or a TV for a Laptop i'm going to be using that I want a bigger screen for..

I'm asking because I have an option to buy either an AOC 27inch monitor (2770s) for really cheap or...

An Insignia or Samsung TV that is around the same cost but 32 inches! and is a TV... (of course the Samsung is slightly more expensive)

The only downsides I can see from research, is TV's is that they can't handle refresh rates well above 60 and may have something called "display lag" for games.. although this does bother me some I need your opinions on these matters please.

well, hopefully 20 milliseconds lag won't ruin my day with games on a tv, but what will ruin my day, is now I'm seeing that some of the TV's are 720p ... but everybody complains that you need to get a 1080p ... etc..

the reason why these TV's are sooo cheap is apparently they are only 720p.. is that such a huge problem? Will I really be missing out if I don't get a 1080p TV?? I mean they now have 4k TV's and bull..it's not about our eyes it's about marketing bull and just getting to pay $1000's for gimmicks that our movies we are watching aren't even recorded in such high quality.. But whatever.

so I need to know if you think just buy the monitor at 27inches.. (which actually does look small compared to a 32inch TV) or just buy the 32 inch TV at 720p for real cheap and have a big screen but I guess with Display lag and not higher refresh rates etc..

I've also recently found a Samsung 1080p TV for like $199.. maybe I should dive into that..

HELP!

thanks.
