Intel 3000 HD 64-bit Windows 8 BETA driver not supporting my laptop.

I have the custom certificate installed, but still the signed drivers for Windows 7 nor the BETA release for Windows 8 works. I get the "This computer does not meet the minimum requirement for installing the software.". I have the modified igdlh64.dll in the 'Graphics' dir.

The drivers through windows update have the annoying auto-adjust brightness feature on and I am unable to find the control panel for the Intel driver. Also, Windows 8 constantly runs on the AMD driver which draws too much power and drains the battery out much faster.

What are my options?

Hey, very similar problem here with a new Thinkpad W530.

- The beta driver from Intel are similar to Windows update one.
- The beta drivers from Lenovo say they don't support my laptop but the real problem seems to be they're not built right (I open some txt files in the directory and they say things like "this should be replaced by correct build number" and stuff like this)
- The Windows update drivers keep coming no matter what I do. Rollback and delete driver (and files) options in Device Manager only work temporarily and soon I get the windows update ones and the VERY annoying auto-brightness comes back, even though it's disabled in Windows Power options, and even when disabling all power saving features in Intel settings.

Anyone had the problem earlier and managed to solve it?

Have you tried inserting a Windows 8 USB or Disk? It gives the option to repair, but I'm not 100% sure of the exact issue. The driver is broken, or not even there?

Hope it helps, friend!

Does your laptop have dual graphics cards? (AMD + Intel) ?
If so you might want to check here

If you only have an Intel Device can you supply your Hardware ID's and your computer model? And also if your operating system is 64bit or 32bit.

If windows update keeps replacing your driver go to Control Panel > windows update > Change settings, and change the settings to "Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them". Then reinstall your driver, and check for updates. Right click the Driver-Replacing update and choose hide.
