    i would think D becomes the W8 recovery partition. I wouldn't worry about deleting them...
    ah no, it can't be the W8 recovery partition, That recovery partition is added by HP, not the instalation of the OS. The only recover you'll have available will be the disk you burned from the ISO, or an image backup after install.

    Only way you would get a W8 recovery partition is with a new HP laptop with W8 already installed.

I was going to try Leshcat's drivers, but I saw some reports of people still having the same issue with black screen upon sleep so I'll wait until those get ironed out. I didn't even run Driver Fusion.
    Here are the instructions:

    Couldn't have been easier. We'll see - let me wait til it sleeps...
    Thanks!!

    Edit:
    Slept & woke up with no problems so far. Now if I can figure out why pasting text into windows live mail takes so long...
    @Peterdoubt

    Glad that you have a solution that works!

    I had recommended the same (i.e. to try Windows 7 drivers) to andi a few weeks back - I guess this finally confirms that some Windows 7 drivers may still be compatible (and able to work) on Windows 8.

    I think I will also have to reformat the first post a bit, because there is a lot of information that should be referenced there prior to asking for help...but all in due course.

    Also, the first post will be updated with Troubleshooting Info that will request that people post their full Hardware IDs (like this; if we had double-checked this in the beginning, I would not have wasted so much of your time - again, my apologies)

    All in all we both learned on this one...thanks for posting your feedback for others!

    Help witch switchable options

    Hey guys. Please help me cuz I'm so tired of searching that damn drivers.. I bought HP g6-1331-sw with Win7 and upgraded it onto Win8. It works great but radeon graphics card 7xxxM series doesn't work. I install drivers and there is no switch control just CCC, moreover I can notice that functions only thanks leshcat

    unfil drivers. I was doing everything in every way and nothing. Maybe reason is BIOS? Can't find version for my notebook on HP site.

    Everything what I can achieve is installed leshcat drivers and when I click on desktop I can see "switchable option" but when I click on it nothing happens! What is the problem? If HP will be suport my computer? I bought it a few days ago and I'm so angry. friends told me that HP is a shit but I thought it can't be so bad ;/

    Aphastar pls dude explain me if I can do smth more with that issue. ;/

    Sorry for my English guys! Hope u could understand me ;d

    I first need you to post your Hardware IDs (see here for instructions).

    @aleseba77, HOODY,

    I'm downloading (as this claims it supports my card); I'll post the list of cards supported from the INF shortly.

    well whoopie! now lets see how the rest of the "upgrade" works out. at least the damned graphics "should" operate "normnal" now on W8.

    I won't be able to D/L it till I get to my buddy's HighSpeed ISP, I still have dialup

    "HOWEVER", some guy on HP blog posted this now!!!???

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    "I just tried sp59850. It is NOT working for my envy 17 with 2670qm and 7690m xt. Check the documentation, it is for dm4. I am still out of luck."

    @hoody, I don't think sp59850 will work for you dv7t.
