    Thanks Aleseba77!!!

This solution actually works! I appreciate you, for keeping your eyes and ears open for a working solution to the problem. However, The Catalyst control Center did not install with this fix. My system is registering both my AMD and Intel GPUs correctly and accurately. There are no issues associated with either driver in the device manager and my system is running cool. Good looking out on this one.

Due to the Fact that this is my discussion thread... I'm officially calling this one solved as of 11/13/2012.

Simply follow the link below for more details and to download the HP switchable graphics drivers below:

If you have one of these cards you can use the official Windows 8 Driver
    (ATI+Intel) provided by HP.

    "Radeon (TM) HD 6370M"
    "Radeon (TM) HD 6470M"
    "Radeon (TM) HD 6490M"

    "Radeon (TM) HD 6630M"

    "Radeon (TM) HD 6770M"
    "Radeon (TM) HD 7450M"
    "Radeon (TM) HD 7470M"
    "Radeon (TM) HD 7690M"
    "Radeon (TM) HD 7690M XT"

I used the Driver Fusion application to completely uninstall all the previous AMD drivers before I applied this fix. You may want to do a clean install before you apply it as well. Download both the new HP drivers from the link provided above the Driver Fusion and "Run" it . Restart your system. Apply the new HP drivers and you should be set to go. Remember, the Catalyst Control Center may not install, but your switchable graphics will be working in it's default Dynamic Mode.

[You may also want to be sure to enable graphics switching to Dynamic mode in your Bois before you begin the update.]

Hmm OK well I have mine set to FIEXD at the moment so only my Radeo card is used while on wall power, it switches auto when I unplug and go to battery. I have that driver fusion, was holding it for when ever. I know you seem to be happy with it on your rig, but I'm still a bit gun shy, I can't afford to hose this thing right now. But I'll D/L it when I get an available high speed connection at my buddy's house and have yet another one available.
