Not an Nvidia card user, but telling folks the model will help them determine if you card is really suited to gaming.

And, yes, cards are supposed to get hot during gaming -- especially if you're using a high resolution and have all the eye candy turned on.

The PC in your System-Spec's is a very old system and your GPU is not strong at all: Click

Beside that, you didn't mention any Games you play either.

First..... does your Graphics Card have a fan on it? Is it turning freely, and running when your PC is powered up?

I have a Graphics card out of an older Dell. It came from Dell with NO FAN! The oversized heat sink would get hot enough to burn the skin off of your finger if you touched it.
I added a fan to it, off of an old CPU Heatsink, and now it stays cool as a cucumber and no more burnt fingers.

Here's that old Dell Graphics card, with my added cooling fan.

I now have that card working beautifully in a computer that I've recently refurbished.

Good Luck! And, Happy Holidays.
