Resolution is stuck at 1280x1024

Thanks, what's weird is it does recognize the display chip as an ATI but calls it a Microsoft device,

    Code:
    Display Devices
    ---------------
Card name: Microsoft Basic Display Adapter
           Manufacturer: (Standard display types)
              Chip type: ATI ATOMBIOS
DAC type: (C) 1988-2005, ATI Technologies
            Device Type: Display-Only Device
             Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9714&SUBSYS_17051565&REV_00
         Display Memory: 256 MB
       Dedicated Memory: 0 MB
          Shared Memory: 256 MB
           Current Mode: 1280 x 1024 (32 bit) (64Hz)
Monitor Name: HP 2009 Series Wide LCD Monitor
          Monitor Model: HP 2009
             Monitor Id: HWP2828
            Native Mode: 1600 x 900(p) (60.000Hz)
Can you try the auto detect here,

    Download Drivers

    It's the top box.

I see a couple BIOS updates newer than what you have,

    Code:
    BIOS Version/Date	American Megatrends Inc. 080015, 7/19/2010
I am hesitant to suggest that though, even though the latest one specifically addresses the GPU,

    Code:
    89GCP530.BST	Improve G.P.U. function ( Beta )	1024 KB	2011-05-30
Just see if the auto detect I linked above will see your card and offer you a driver.

It says that it's unable to find a driver for my system, I'm willing to try anything, even the Bios thing.

Sorry for the delay, I'm just not comfortable with doing that yet. If it worked before it should work now with drivers.

Are you using the HDMI for one of your monitors?

There is an HDMI driver and an audio driver that don't look like they are installed.

Both of those have W8 versions here,

Thanks for the reply back and I use a DVI & VGA connection for my monitors.

OK, install those drivers anyway, from your logs it looks like they are running on basic drivers.

You can try going in the BIOS (DELETE key at boot) and on the EXIT tab, select Load Optimal Defaults, F10 will save and exit.

Unfortunately, nothing. Do you think if I re-install Windows 7 it will work? Or no?

If that's what you had on there before, it's certainly worth trying.

If it was me, I would try it just to rule out hardware issues, if it works on 7 then it isn't hardware related and we need to find out why it isn't working.

Also, to prevent confusion like the beginning of this thread had can you add this to your system specs in the Motherboard field,

    Biostar TA890GXB HD Ver. 6.x

Okay, only problem is with when I try to boot from USB I edit the boot device priority and make USB at the top and after saving that it tells me to ""Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot Device and press a key." But that's a different issue. I'll try to get Windows 7 installed and once I do that I'll tell you what happens. You'll probably hear from me on Monday or Tuesday at the latest on this issue.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for updating your specs.

Instead of setting the boot device priority in the BIOS for the USB, leave it at your HDD (Or DVD drive if that's what it was) and use the one time boot menu key which I believe is Esc key.

We'll be here, and get this figured out with you.

Okay sweet, thanks, the boot menu key worked, and now installing Windows 7. I was trying for a long time to try to get that to work a few days ago, and all you had to do was press a button on your keyboard.
