    Video Card Problem ? Only 768mb instead of 2GB?


    Hey .So i bought a new PC .The customer said that the video card is a GTX 460 2GB .When i check the display settings or something like that , it shows only 768 Total Memory .What is happening?
    In dxdiag i have app rox.total.memory : 4045MB. So ?Also if i test my pc on Can I Run It site it says that i have 1 GB Video Card Dedicated .Please help .

    So what video card do you have for sure? More system specs would help.

    Go to Control panel > Display > Screen Resolution > Advanced settings. In the box that opens what does it show for Dedicated Video memory.

    Better to use this,

    GPU-Z Video card GPU Information Utility

    and post a screen shot so we can see all the card details.

    There is a 756 MB version of that card. Might be time to look at the card itself and see the exact version/part number.

    You have a 768 MB Graphics Card, with a possible addition of 3.3 GB taken from your RAM.
