PC Dual monitor setup not working

Hi
I am trying to setup a dual monitor system, the same as I had with Win 8. My main monitor is plugged in via a HDMI cable to one graphics card, and my second monitor is plugged in via HDMI to an onboard graphics card.
I have setup the displays to extend, and it sees, and correctly identifies the second monitor, and when I click extend it briefly shows the desktop on both (correctly) bt then the second monitor goes black, although the light stays green indicating it is receiving a signal.

Can anyone advise on how I can get the second monitor working correctly.

I have updated the graphics cards (today).

Thanks in advance,
Perdimia

Always helps to post your system specs. Kind of hard to help without any hardware information.
