Solved Nvidia Driver Update 347.25 WHQL for GT 740M

Hi guys, I would just like to ask, will I get any performance improvements if I update my driver to the newest 347.25? Is it necessary for me to update my driver? It lists support for Dying Light however, I do not play this title and I only run old games such as COD: Modern Warfare 3 and Ghost Recon Phantoms. Furthermore, I'm afraid I might do more harm than good, as the saying goes, "If it ain't broke don't fix it". Btw, my current driver is 344.75 Thanks :)

You could update it & see what happens.

You can always roll back to the old driver if you want to.

Somebody else may chip in & add their opinion. :)

edit--- I keep a Macrium image of my system so I feel safe to experiment. Backup Backup Backup

No you won't get any performance improvements in older games at all, if anything a very small decrease is more likely (they don't tell you that do they....). I have tested this many times with Nvidia graphics cards. I used benchmarks and a favourite older game to test.

In fact about half of Nvidia drivers had some weird visual bug somewhere during tests. These driver versions tended to disappear from their archived ones, no surprise there.

The increased performance is for latest games only as in the Nvidia Notes, so yes, if it ain't broke don't try and fix it.
Your driver version is only 3 months old so even more pointless.

I have the 347.25 installed with the GT 730m. Not going to update to the latest as it is tweaks for the game Evolver mainly plus people are having problems with the install. Not worth the headache IMO.
