Hi all,
I have a 5-month-old machine with Windows 8.1 installed (All the updates are in). On this I have an AMD Sapphire Radeon R7 260X Graphics card from which I had no problem since I bought it. I play games very smoothly without any crashes etc. But, although at first I could make video calls and open my webcam (Microsoft HD 3000) using Skype, now, whenever I do it Windows restarts my graphics driver and shows me an error message saying that the driver was not responding and it was recovered, and Skype continues "loading"my webcam indefinitely.
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled: Skype, my webcam drivers, my graphics card drivers (the problem was not solved)
I have the latest version of Skype and all of the latest drivers (for the webcam and my graphics card)
My webcam works from anywhere else but not in Skype (so it is a Skype-specific issue)
I tried opening my webcam through the Settings window of Skype and the same thing happened.
I haven't any clue on how I am gonna solve this issue (without reinstalling the OS of course )... Any suggestions?
Not saying OS, asking about graphics drivers. Sometimes Windows will install drivers during an update. What make/model of computer is it and have you tried the drivers from their site?
My graphics card's maker is Sapphire. The computer in general is custom made. The drivers were updated through AMD's software only. Also, when I reinstalled the drivers, I only downloaded the latest version through AMD's site so it is sure that no updates were added through Windows Update to my current installation.
I am currently trying downloading the drivers through Sapphire's site instead of AMD's... I will update if it makes a difference.
