I've started running the Sapphire TRIXX utility in my user account only when I need it to set a quiet fan curve when playing a game. I was having some instability problems following my upgrade to Windows 8.1 when TRIXX was set to start when Windows loads.
TRIXX installed with a shield on its icon and there appears to be no way of running the program without entering the admin password at the UAC prompt within a user account. I've tried seeting permissions for my user account to have full access to TRIXX but that makes no difference. I did find a utility Runasrobin which does work but it runs its own service and I'm unsure whether this is a security hole.
So how do I run TRIXX from a user account without the UAC prompt appearing (and without disabling UAC)?
