VIZIO E480i-B2 refresh rate issue with PC

I recently purchased an advertised 120HZ refresh rate TV and to my surprise after connecting it to my computer I only get 60HZ from the TV.
At this point Im wondering if there is something i
need to be doing more, or If i need to change the connection for example HDMI from TV to DVI to my video card. Does anyone know how to properly have the 120HZ refresh rate while having the TV connected to PC?

Connection I used: HDMI from TV to HDMI video card
CPU: i7 4770k
Video card: GTX 770 (SLI) 2x
windows 8
First Screenshot: my monitor on its 140HZ refresh rate
Second Screenshot: VIZIO E480i-B2 TV as 60 HZ refresh rate

You will never get 120Hz because you fell for a marketing scam. There's no such thing as a 120Hz LCD panel and if you ever find the fine print where they explain how they arrive at that number, you'll realize it was all just a copious amount of smoke blown up your posterior. As luck would have it, I already detailed a fair bit of this in another post recently, so I don't need to repeat myself.

Hmm... Really I think you can. I would turn the resolution down to 1080x1920 because that will be easy to process in 120Hz.
