Hi,
During the installation process for Windows 8 consumer preview, my laptop screen displayed very poor resolution, so poor that I could hardly see anything. The problem continued after installation completed. I can only now see things through a second monitor. Things seem to also work when I put the laptop display on duplicate or extend mode

I have read many posts on similar problem, and have been installing many drivers, but nothing seem to help!... Would someone please point me to the right driver for my computer? Some info on my laptop is below for your reference.
Computer info: Ideapad U460; video: Intel (r) HD graphic; Windows 8 consumer preview 64-bit Thanks !

Lenovo Ideapad U460 has an Nvidia card according to my searches (either a 4XXM or 3XXM). Could you post your hardware ID's of your graphics card and possibly find out if there is a specific model on the bottom of the laptop?

The model number is CBA3124225. On a Lenovo support site, you could see some available drivers through this link:

I have Intel HD graphic (microsoft corporation - WDDM 1.1) with currently install driver is 8.15.10.2302.

The version with Nvidia graphic is with Core i5 chip, mine is older and comes with Intel P6000 (1.86 Ghz dual core) instead.

Thanks

Try the drivers in my thread. Try Version 8.15.10.2622 first, since the drivers above it are desktop drivers. The link is in my signiture

I have installed the 8.15.10.2622 driver from your post, still could not solve the issue. It seemed to improve the resolution a little, but not really help much. Any other suggestion please?

below is what this post looks like using the laptop display mode:

If it really has installed how about trying to increase the resolution? Right click your desktop and hit "Graphics Properties...". Choose Advanced mode and set the resolution.

Yes, I have changed to resolution to 1366x768 as seen in the photo below while in the extend mode. However, When I switch back to PC screen only mode, nothing improved.
