Do you have both monitors connected by DVI/HDMI cables ? What are the connectors on video card like ? It is purely HW issue.

What makes you think one is analog?

Maybe? DVI-I out is analog and digital. If there is a DVI to VGA adapter (or cable) in there somewhere its analog to the monitor.

I think all you are seeing are the connections on your monitor. One is VGA and one is DVI. Just buy an adapter to convert to whatever you have on your video card. If you have two DIV outputs and cables, just buy a VGA to DVI converter.

Like this one. Just make sure you buy the one that matches up your male to female or visa-versa.

This is going to sound like nit picking but the electronic technician in me makes me want to point this out. Your link is to an adapter, not a converter. There are no electronics in the adapter, just wires to redirect pins on one end to the appropriate pins at the other end. For that to work it has to be a DVI-I output jack. If its DVI-D (digital only) on the video card, it won't work. Just a for you information post.

Actually, without knowing which monitors and GPU are exactly, there's no way of knowing for sure. If there were no adapters or converters at this setup than they are digital for sure.

I used the early public beta and found it unusable as desktop OS but having upgraded to 8 I find it tolerable (Added classic start menu. :o). Two or more monitors really help with switching between Start screen and desktop.
