Hello Boys and Girls
Not sure It's the best place to post this, but It's my best bet
I'm having an issue playing Resident Evil 6 with AMD Catalyst 14.4 drivers for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 x64
The Issue as best as I can describe it is that the game occasionally freezes during gameplay for a few seconds, then returns to normal after a quick black screen as if it's changing resolution, and sometimes it freezes completely with a continuous, looping audio bug and I can only escape that by hitting the reset button.
I had these issues with Resident Evil 6 and Darksiders II when I had Windows 7 32 Bit with AMD Catalyst 13.9, then I updated the drivers to 14.4 and these issues were gone forever. Then recently I removed Windows 7 32 Bit and installed a fresh copy of Windows 8.1 64 Bit, I got the 64 Bit version of the AMD 14.4 drivers from AMD website and gave Resident Evil 6 a try, and the issues are back again...!
I thought about installing the 32 bit version of the 14.4 drivers but a quick Google search rendered the idea impossible. So any solutions or suggestions would be welcome.
Note: I have all the "redists" needed to play modern games, like the latest DX9 and all the Visual C++ packages from 2005 to 2013, but I would be happy to be pointed to anything I might have missed.
System Specs:
Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.6 GHz E5300
4GB DDR3 RAM
XFX HD6670 1GB RAM DDR3
Samsung SyncMaster S13B300 (18.5 inch) 1366x768, 60Hz
Peace
