According to Nvidia 340.52 is compatible. If you think it is slower you can also go back to your previous driver.

If you want faster boot time and performance get yourself an SSD.

Updating drivers is ment to make things run smoother and/or faster. The point with the specific 340 version is,they are not yet "recommended" by NVidia, they do shew up as compatible, but once you "clear" to recommended ones, the last stable is version 337.88.Update to 337 and keep computing happily!
Updated myself to 340,had some issues, didnt really pinpoint to GPU drivers, but reverted to the trusty 337,while trying to clearify what else might be wrong with my OS.

i have 326 i dont have troubles but since i bought the notebook seems like start slow from 12 sec to 50 aprox for desktop i know that is for install programs and all but i desactivate everithing that i dont use with msconfig and maybe is the gpc when i start the pc appears the nvidia icon saying that 340 is available. so from all that i can hear itsnt so stable, and if i want to update to 337 ill have to do it manually . i dont know if i must just leave it
